Basic Good Health, Pain Management, Weight Loss Ideas and More:
Diet, Exercise, Rest, & Meditation

Here is a Basic Good Health Checklist. You can Read it, Print it, Copy it, Share it, or Save it to your Favorites -- But, More Importantly, Keep it Handy to Use as a Reminder to Incorporate the Following into Everyday Life, Activities, and Schedules:

  • Maintain a healthy daily diet and consider vitamin therapy.
Keep in mind special needs. Watch those additives and avoid toxins. Make every calorie count by choosing foods that have a variety of nutrients inside moderate portions. They will help protect against disease, help you maintain proper weight, and promote basic good health. Drink lots of water (add a squirt of lemon juice or flavoring if necessary). Practice good oral hygiene. Protect your skin. Find more help with the navigation tabs at the left -- especially regarding diets.

  • Get healthful and sufficient exercise for the body including your brain.
Read, study, solve problems, and learn new skills. Just like the body the brain deteriorates with lack of use. So, get moving. Balancing energy intake (calories) with energy output (physical activity) is the key.

Remember, a little physical activity everyday, throughout the day, can go far. Park a little farther away and walk or take the stairs instead of the elevator. Check your posture while standing at the copier, in line at the bank or while waiting at the post office. Get massage therapy or chiropractic work when possible. Set a goal to safely raise the heart rate – i.e., walking, swimming, aerobics (2-3 times a week). Stretch for flexibility and strength/tone/shape muscles (3 times a week). Find more help by using the navigation tabs related to exercise and posture.

  • Do all you can to get enough restorative sleep, rest and recreation.
Remember movement can actually be a form of rest when it comes to stressful stagnation; know when to move for rest. Practice stress management and strive to acquire the coping skills necessary for a good night’s sleep. Learn and try natural remedies; for example, learn when to eat calming foods or how to meditate for better sleep. Sleep is essential for basic good health. Find useful checklists and suggestions with the navigation tabs provided.

  • Practice regular meditation, and other spiritual forms of expression including prayer to improve your basic good health.
Do grounding, balancing, clearing and protection work daily at a rate you are comfortable with. Discover what inspires you, motivates you, raises your level of consciousness and satisfies your soul. There are several navigation tabs provided on this site to help you with your search.

Here is a wonderful link to a diagram and chart of the 12 Basic Chakras -- A Must to Understand -- All for your basic good health.

  • Laughter really does help.
”Laughter, The Best Medicine” is quoted from Reader’s Digest, and is a well-known and popular expression. Laughter serves as an accepted form of stress relief in most circles. So there is an entire section of this site devoted to amusing jokes and funny stories to help “lighten up!” – Find it with the navigation tab Laughter Cures.

  • Be willing to get counseling or other support with overwhelming issues if you need it. It can be the key to your basic good health!
